Worship @ Home for May 17
Announcements & Call to Worship
The deacons board met via the internet on Thursday, May 14. Board members are: Rhonda Leonard (Chair), Heidi Bieri, Jill Chuli, Mary Norman, David Smelser, and Pastor Andrew. It was decided that we would launch a weekly time of online fellowship using the Zoom platform. Our first event will be Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00 PM and will last for approximately forty minutes. Pastor Andrew will email you an invitation. We expect there to be some growing pains as people get accustomed to using Zoom, but please give it a try. Most people find it rather easy to use.
The deacons also discussed when we will be able to meet for worship in Villa Nova and what that will look like when we do. When we’re allowed to meet in groups of more than five, we will be ready. If we can meet with more than five but less than fifty, then one option is holding multiple worship services on a Sunday morning. Another option is worshiping outdoors as weather permits. We will only proceed to worship together with permission and guidance from all levels of government and our local health authorities. If you have any questions or concerns about these matters, please contact one of us.
The care committee has been busy making sure that no one in our church is forgotten. If you know of anyone who needs help or you have any helpful ideas, then please contact Rhonda Leonard or Pastor Andrew.
Now, To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father – to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (Revelation 1:5b-6)

Message: “How Long, O Lord?” (Psalm 13)
How Long, O Lord? (Psalm 13)
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)
